Tag Heuer Mikrogirder 2000

Tag Heuer are on a never ending quest to produce the world’s most accurate chronograph timepieces, and that is exactly what they have achieved with their latest piece, the ‘Mikrogirder 2000′.

Revealed in early 2012, this Mikrogirder can can accurately measure time to 1/2000th of a second (hence the 2000) – which is an incredible feat for the Tag Heuer team. It seems that Tag are regularly unveiling new super wristwatches that defy physics and traditional horology, and this piece is certainly no exception.

In addition its mind blowing accuracy the Mikrogirder 2000 is one very attractive timepiece with many sleek functions and features. The 2000 would look superb on anyone’s wrist who appreciates accruate time-keeping or horology in general. However, the bad news for those champing at the bit to get their very own watch… the Mikrogirder is not a commercially produced watch range. This means you need to know someone within Tag Heuer’s Switzerland operations and you need to have a very big wallet. It is rumored that 2011’s ‘Mikrogirder 1000′ model sold for 65,000+ Euros each and their were only 11 watches made.
